Clients look to Ross for a full range of services. Many times this includes acting as the Tax Department for clients who do not have sufficient internal resources. In this role, Ross manages the tax planning, tax consulting and tax compliance processes. These include multi-state nexus analysis, choice of entity analysis, sale of asset vs. sale of stock or other ownership interest, manufacturing and hiring incentives, tax credit analysis and usage, tax attribute issues (net operating losses, tax credit carryovers, etc.) arising from a change in control of stock ownership, tax provision services, and estimated tax and cash flow planning.
Ross is currently a Partner in the firm of Servatius, O’Brien & Fong LLP. Previously, Ross was with Moss Adams; BDO USA (formerly known as BDO Seidman); PriceWaterhouseCoopers (formerly known as Coopers & Lybrand; and KPMG (formerly known as KMG Main Hurdman). Ross received his Master in Business Taxation from Golden Gate University and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University. Ross is an active C.P.A. licensed to practice in California, and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Ross has over 30 years of experience in taxation matters, including federal, state and international income tax issues, as well as financial reporting related to income tax issues. Ross works with businesses, their management teams and their owners to maximize the tax benefits and to minimize the tax exposures relating to annual income tax return and financial statement filings. In addition, Ross has successfully managed clients’ tax controversy issues with federal and state taxing authorities.
Ross has worked with companies ranging in size from privately-owned start-up companies to publicly-held enterprises with $500 million in revenue, and has dealt with issues such as foreign corporate ownership, domestic companies with foreign subsidiaries, businesses with multi-state operations, and tax provisions and related footnote disclosure. In addition, Ross has also worked with business owners, “C Suite” level executives and high net worth individuals.
